In recognition of April being Alcohol Awareness Month, CDC is highlighting Brenna’s story

In recognition of April being Alcohol Awareness Month, CDC is highlighting Brenna’s story—Brenna was diagnosed with a fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) when she was 12 years old. Brenna’s story is also highlighted this week on CDC’s main Features page.

CDC would like to give a special thanks to Brenna and her family and to FASD United (formerly NOFAS) for sharing this story with us! Brenna’s mother, Heather, now leads the FASD United Family Navigator program which provides individuals living with FASDs and their family members and caregivers with expert, confidential support and referrals.
